Sheffield Children's Wind Band (Beginner Band)

Step into the vibrant world of the Sheffield Children's Wind Band. We rehearse in a wonderful space at All Saints Catholic High School which gives us lots of space to work with. We have recently performed at Sheffield Cathedral, Victoria Hall and Weston Park Bandstand and have performed music by Classical composers Mozart and Beethoven, The Beatles as well as some film themes. We cover a range of activities in our rehearsals to help us play and perform confidently and these cover some technical as well as musical aspects of playing an instrument. We would suggest you are able to play 5 notes to join us, if you’re not sure just sign up and try the first few sessions for free.

What to expect at your first rehearsal
If you think it might help, please share the Young Person’s Rehearsal Timeline with your young musician. This will give them an idea of what to expect when they arrive, the rehearsal and what to do at the end. Hopefully it will help calm some nerves :)
