Concordia Voices is a dynamic and supportive environment for young people to develop their vocal skills, explore a wide range of musical styles, and perform all around the city. Led by young, innovative and exciting choir director Emma Ward, the choir focuses on building confidence, technique, and musicality.

Alongside Emma Ward, the open rehearsals will feature a special lower voices session led by Ian Naylor, Head of Music Education Sheffield, and expert music educator and conductor.

Concordia Voices is open to anyone and everyone, no audition needed!

Concordia Voices is a vibrant and inspiring youth choir in Sheffield, offering young singers in Year 10 - Year 13 the opportunity to develop their vocal skills with access to high-quality vocal training and performance opportunities.

Under the expert direction of Emma Ward, members explore a wide range of musical styles, from classical to contemporary, and regularly perform at concerts, community events, and special projects. Concordia Voices fosters a strong sense of teamwork, confidence, and artistic expression, allowing young singers to build their musical potential while making lifelong friendships.

Whether you're a seasoned performer or a budding vocalist, Concordia Voices welcomes all who are passionate about singing. Join us and discover the power of music, creativity, and collaboration!

What to expect at your first rehearsal

If you think it might help, please share the Young Person’s Rehearsal Timeline with your young musician. This will give them an idea of what to expect when they arrive, the rehearsal and what to do at the end. Hopefully it will help calm some nerves :)

How to join!

Price Band C£110 per term or £315 per year (September – July) If attending 2 or more Price Band A/B/C groups:
£125 per term or £360 per year (September – July)

If attending more than one group you will be charged the highest price band that you attend e.g if you attend 1 price band A and 1 price band C group you will be charged £125 per term.

To join this group sign up online at least 24 hours before the first attended rehearsal.

Costs – membership of the choir is TOTALLY FREE if you are in receipt of free school meals or fit our bursary criteria, otherwise membership will cost £90 a term (unless you are already a member of a band C group for Sheffield Music Hub groups – joining this choir will come at no extra cost). We don’t want cost to be an issue – the friends of Sheffield Music Hub support with bursaries, please just ask if you need help with the cost of fees, whatever your circumstances.

Concordia Voices are the senior choir of the re-branded Sheffield Youth Choirs that include our children’s choir – Sheffield Junior Voices and intermediate choir – Youth Voices.
