Sheffield Junior Wind Band

This is an exciting new group launching in September 2026!

Time: 6.15pm-7.15pm  
Price: Category A  
Age: Year 5 - Year 8

To join this group sign up online at least 24 hours before the first attended rehearsal.

Are you ready to join a fun and lively wind band? Do you play a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument? Are you in Y5 – 8 at school? If so, then this is the band for you!

Join this band and you’ll find a warm, welcoming, and friendly space to learn together, make new friends and enjoy making music as a group.

Everyone will be excited to help you improve your skills and have a great time playing your instrument. We’ll even take you and the band along to explore the wonderful concert venues that Sheffield has to offer.

So, come along and join us, give it go and let’s start making some amazing music together!

• Tuba
• Percussion

Fees: Membership for our groups is TOTALLY FREE if you are in receipt of free school meals or fit our bursary criteria. We don’t want cost to be an issue, the friends of Sheffield Music Hub support with bursaries, please email musichubprojects@sheffield.gov.uk if you need help with the cost of fees, whatever your circumstances.

Price Band A: £65 per term or £180 per year (September – July) If attending 2 or more Price Band A groups: £80 per term or £225 per year (September – July)

Please note, we only accept new members into this group in the first half of every term (e.g. September to October, January to February, April to May).
