Young Musician Wins Janet Altman Composers Competition!
We are delighted to celebrate Sam Lake, a member of our Senior Orchestra and Concordia Voices ensembles, who has won the Junior section of the Janet Altman Composers Competition with his original composition - Restless.
Sam's piece will receive it's premiere performance at the Endcliffe Orchestra Summer Concert this weekend on Saturday 4 July 2026, where he will also be presented with an award.
This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of Sam's talent as both a musician and composer. Everyone at Sheffield Music Hub is incredibly proud of Sam and wishes him every success.
