Sue Tinson (Secretary and Trustee)

When Sue recently attended a SMH concert as a volunteer, she was immediately taken back to watching her own son, who had benefitted from taking part in playing the cello 25 + years ago!  With the help of a SMH hired half sized, then full cello, he was able to enjoy many happy years, practicing, playing with the orchestras and attending concerts etc.  Sue says it is so vitally important to continue to raise funds to reach the many more children across the city, who with the help of SMH Friends and Volunteers, can have the same access to musical experiences and achievements her son had.

Sue says since fully retiring, time is one thing she can give and she took the opportunity to get back involved again with SMH Friends and Volunteers in March 2022 shaking buckets, and fundraising, and becoming Secretary in May 2022.
