Audrey Foster (Treasurer and Trustee)
Hi I'm Audrey, I am an Assistant Homes Manager working within children's residential services in Sheffield, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities. Making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people is something I care deeply about, both professionally and personally. Throughout my adult life, I have volunteered in a variety of roles supporting children and young people, and helping others to thrive has always been a passion of mine.
As a Trustee and having the role of being the Treasurer, I enjoy using my organisational, leadership and financial skills to help the charity grow, remain sustainable, and continue making a positive difference in the community. I believe in working collaboratively, being transparent, and ensuring resources are used effectively to achieve our charitable aims.
Some things about me...
- Treasurer by Role, Festival-Goer at Heart- I love attending musical performances including festivals or bands on stage.
- Favourite song/artist: Impossible to choose just one, but you'll usually find me listening to Reggae, Pink, Scooter, PSB, House Music/trance, Motown or Northern Soul.
- Hobby outside of work: With a busy full-time role and trustee responsibilities, I don't have as much time for hobbies as I'd like. When I do get some downtime, I enjoy swimming and spending time with family and friends.
- Favourite food: Anything hot and spicy
- Favourite place in Sheffield: Anywhere I can swim
- Surprising fact: I love learning. I recently completed my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in seven months and am about to begin studying data analytics, despite promising myself I would take a break from studying first!
