How our Partners Support School Singing

Sheffield Music Hub is in partnership with many organisations across Sheffield and nationally.  Each partner has unique opportunities to support school music making.

University of Sheffield

Through their Department of Music, professional concert series, and Widening Participation programme, the University of Sheffield offers musical projects, for all key stages, in your school or at the University.  You will hear about these through your Music Hub Music Leader, or you can contact The University of Sheffield Concerts Team on concerts@sheffield.ac.uk for information.

Music in the Round

You will hear about project with Music in the Round through your Music Hub Music Leader, or you can contact kate@musicintheround.co.uk for information.

Soundpost

Soundpost are a folk music organisation who have recently received funding from Arts Council England to develop a range of folk music education projects across all key stages, both in and out of schools.  If you are interested in working with Soundpost to develop folk singing in your school, please contact info@soundpost.org.uk

Sheffield Cathedral

Sheffield Cathedral are long-standing partners of Sheffield Music Hub, helping to deliver Singing Festivals and offering schools the opportunity to visit the Cathedral church to learn about the building, its musical tradition and its role in faith. Contact them on enquiries@sheffield-cathedral.org.uk to find out how they can support singing in your school.

They also run several choirs which form part of Sheffield’s Choral Strategy.

Out of the Ark

Sheffield Music Hub will be running a series of events and projects in partnership with Out of the Ark, throughout 2018/2019.  These events will help you get the most out of your Singing Support Pack.  Keep an eye out here for further information throughout the year!
