Roz Massey (Strings)

Roz is a violinist who was inspired to start learning after completing an alphabet jigsaw puzzle and liking the look of ‘v for violin’.  Born and educated in Sheffield she was an active member of the city’s orchestras as a child and proudly led the 2nd violins in CSYO.  Roz studied music at Leeds University and then completed a PGCE at the University of Roehampton.

Secondary school music teaching has formed the majority of Roz’s career and she spent 13 years working as a Head of Music in London before seeing the light and returning to Sheffield!  Back in Sheffield she has worked at several of the Secondary schools as a classroom music teacher.

She is really excited about joining the Music Hub and is ready to start meeting all the young musicians.
