Sheffield Music Hub Strings Project – Making a Musical Start
Do you want your child to develop a life-long love of music?
Do you want a fun educational activity that you can enjoy together, learning the violin at the same time as your child?
Register your interest here for children who attend one of the following schools; Carfield Primary, Hallam Primary, Hunter's Bar Infant, Shooters Grove Primary.
This amazing strings project is open to children and parents in Years 1+2 and offers the opportunity of learning the violin in 15 friendly give-it-a-go sessions at your school. Instruments and resources will be provided throughout the project so pupils can give-it –a-go without any long term commitment of hiring and paying for lessons up front. The scientific and emotional benefits of learning a musical instrument are well known; it helps children develop literacy, numeracy and social skills…but most of all its simply great fun to be part of a collective musical group!!! This fabulous opportunity could be the initial step on a pathway to learning any musical instrument in the future!
