Hannah Smalley (Woodwind)

Originally from Sheffield, Hannah is a graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire where she studied the flute with Jonathan Rimmer. As well as a BMus (Hons) degree, she also has ABRSM Diploma in flute performance, ABRSM Grade 5 Piano and Music Theory and Grade 3 Clarinet. 

Hannah has also had the privilege of performing in masterclasses with Clare Southworth, Ian Clarke and Jonathan Kelly of the Berlin Philharmonic. She has also had lessons with Marie-Christine Zupancic and Andrew Lane (piccolo) of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.   

She has performed in various venues and events across the UK and Europe, including Birmingham Symphony Hall and Town Hall, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and the Pablo Casals International Music Festival in Spain.

Hannah has spent the last four years teaching for Birmingham Services for Education- Music Service and is very excited to be back in her home City of Sheffield to continue to spread and share her enthusiasm and love of music.
