Judith Jessop-Ward

Judith began playing the piano aged 6 and the flute aged 12.  She gained an honours degree in Modern Studies in Sheffield and has lived here ever since!

Having gained her Flute Teaching diploma she has been a specialist teacher for many years and has over 20 years’ experience of directing flute choirs.  She worked with Sheffield Music Service from 1998 and with the emergence of Sheffield Music Hub, became a Music Leader.  She is really excited about the musical opportunities now available to children and young people.

Judith returned to freelance teaching in 2016 to spend more time with her first grandchild, but maintains close links with the Music Hub and is particularly keen to support ensemble work in the city.  She is committed to being an inspirational teacher from beginner level through to advanced as she believes that music really does change people’s lives.
