James initially started playing Guitar aged 14 and over the years has undertaken studies in piano (up to Grade 8), singing and keyboard. James has delivered and entered students for Trinity Guildhall, ABRSM and the Rock school syllabus as well as delivering music tuition as part of the NOCN ASDAN and AQA award schemes.
James has also completed a Ba Hons in Fine Art and Art therapy at the University of Coventry, recently completed a PGCE and specialises in teaching and mentoring adults and children with learning difficulties and Autism.
Over the years James has undertaken theatre company work, participated in assisting and running guitar ensembles, set up and co-ordinated music festivals, music workshops, youth concerts and night club events. He has also worked as a freelance music teacher delivering tuition in a variety of styles from rock, classical and jazz and plays guitar extensively across the Sheffield area.
