Music Hub Packages 2022/23 Academic Year

Music is an essential part of life and our engagement with it follows us to all corners of our existence. It makes us Human. It shapes our emotions and our attitudes and it physically rewires the brain to create broad thinkers, problem solvers, musicians, mathematicians and linguists (as dozens of studies have shown).

Sheffield Music Hub packages, 50% subsidised by Arts Council England, are designed by our team of Music Education Experts to bring creativity, expressivity and of course the joy of music to your school; together we can help unlock the superhuman in all your children and young people. All round they offer exceptional value for money.

Music – Learn to play a musical instrument (Primary/Secondary/Special)

Standard Package £1,155

A specialist musician will teach 1 class for 45 minutes each week (30 sessions maximum). Class teacher involvement is key to the success of this programme which includes free loan of musical instruments and a free music CPD session.

Enhanced Pathways Package £1,622.50

As above plus an additional half hour for up to 10 children who wish to continue after the 1st year. Only £561.75 for each additional half hour session. The package includes free loan of musical instruments, , co-designed opportunity for the young musicians to experience a live performance together with their Music Leader and a free twilight CPD session in school.

Music – Learn to Sing (Primary)

Standard Package £2,259.75

Your package will include:

  • An expert Vocal Music Leader in your school for half a day per week
  • 30 weeks of sessions across the academic year
  • A comprehensive singing programme for 3 classes of 30 children each week across the academic year
  • One CPD per term for teachers and support staff to embed a singing culture within your school

Curriculum Support. Your singing specialist will work with your music coordinator to create a programme in which the Singing Package, combined with other musical activities in school, can satisfy the curriculum for music.

  • A scheme of work, repertoire and resources available to all staff in your school throughout the project.

Enhanced Package £4,519.50

Your package will include:

  • An expert Vocal Music Leader in your school for a full day per week
  • 30 weeks of sessions across the academic year
  • A comprehensive singing programme for 6 classes of 30 children each week across the academic year
  • One CPD per term for teachers and support staff to embed a singing culture within your school

Curriculum Support. Your singing specialist will work with your music coordinator to create a programme in which the Singing Package, combined with other musical activities in school, can satisfy the curriculum for music.

Music – Choir Bolt On 

Standard Package £1,181.25

NOTE – this is only available when purchased alongside a Learn to sing package, the choir may run within the school day, or immediately after it (to be arranged between music leader and school staff).

30 rehearsals from a Vocal Music Leader, plus two performances to be arranged with your Music Leader. The choir leader will work alongside a member of school staff who will assist with the overall running of the choir.

Music – Learn to sing – Bespoke Special Schools

Standard Package £1,207.50

A vocal music leader will deliver 30 engaging singing lessons throughout the academic year, culminating in a performance, or sharing to be arranged between school and your music leader.

Music – Design your own music programme

Specialist music leaders £39.37 per hour (min 30 and max 34 lessons) – music specialists are available to design a programme with you. Where lessons take place individually or in small groups, schools can re-charge parents and carers to cover the cost. Instruments are available for families to hire at low cost.
