STEMS II - Live performance opportunity!

STEMS II

Are you part of a band or are you an artist that wants to develop their performance skills and develop their media presence?

In essense, do you want to get more gigs? We are here to help!

Sheffield Music Hub and The Sheffield College are collaborating on a project to offer an exciting opportunity for young musicians!

All acts are welcome - groups, solo artists, singer songwriters, etc of any genre- rock, pop, jazz, folk, alt, hip-hop. We are aiming to celebrate the diversity of the young musicians in our city and make sure all children in Sheffield see themselves reflected in the performers regardless of race, gender, where they live, their levels of musical talent, parental income, whether they have special educational needs or disabilities or whether they are looked-after children.

Successful applicants will be invited to perform one 15 minute set and their performances will be professionally captured with high quality audio, video and photos. Following the event, acts will receive all the audio, video and photos captured at their performance for use in developing their own electronic press kit (EPK). This media is the core of an artist’s EPK and could potentially cost hundreds, if not thousands of pounds if they were to arrange this themselves. All they need to do is arrive, soundcheck and perform and we’ll take care of the rest!

We are also pleased to announce that this year, performers will also receive a session following the event to support them in developing their EPK, including information on audio/video editing and developing their online presence as artists from industry professionals.
