Steel Pan Workshop at Fir Vale Secondary School for World Music Week

As part of Fir Vale Secondary School’s annual World Music Week, students took part in a Steel Pan workshop led by our Steel Pan expert and Music Leader Catherine Carr. The session introduced students to the fundamentals of Steel Pan playing and gave them the opportunity to engage with a musical tradition they may not have encountered before.

Fir Vale Secondary School is Sheffield’s Lead School for Music within the South Yorkshire Music Hub (SYMA), and is providing high-quality music education and musical opportunities for its students. Thank you to Fir Vale for everything you are doing for music!
