Published on 02/10/2018

On Saturday 13th October, the Sheffield Music Academy are hosting their first ever ‘Brass Day’ which encourages complete beginners and established student players to join them for what will be an exciting day of playing.

They have an inspirational line up of teachers to run this day including two Academy teachers, Mark Cadman (Trumpet, Director of Music at Hill House School) and Simon Twigge (French Horn, former RAM and The Purcell School). Also joining them are Simon Hogg (Trombone, Director of Music Performance at Warwick School) and Chris Barron (Tuba, NYO). The day will focus on ensemble playing and workshops – with every session being tailored to its students. They will also be hosting a performance at the end of the brass day.
