The Musical Stars Fund aims to overcome barriers that prevent children and young people from spreading their musical wings. The funds raised from the scheme will ensure that:
- children are offered a 30 minute, weekly, specialist one to one lesson
- free instrument hire (if needed),
- an appropriate ensemble place
- dedicated time outside of the lessons for a tutor to offer guidance and support children pastorally with their musical journey.
The Musical Stars scheme is NOT purely about musical talent, as we are looking to support children and young people for whom making music is the main focus of their world, their ‘life and soul’ so to speak, and without the extra support may not be able to reach their musical potential!

The Friends and Volunteers of Sheffield Music Hub support the Hub with numerous activities and projects as this invaluable group provides a network of helpers for the vast array of rehearsals, concerts and events that take place throughout the year. They also actively fund raise to ensure that we can offer first class performance opportunities for every child and young person in Sheffield.
