MFY National Festival - REMIX 2021

Published on 06/05/2021

Music for Youth’s new-look National Festival takes place from 6th – 10th July!

Their new-look hybrid festival will be open to all young people across the UK with a blend of online activity throughout the festival week and some exciting live activities on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th July in the newly developed Symphony Hall, Birmingham.

They have a special festival theme, REMIX 2021. It  will reflect the times and the impact of substantial change on young people and their music making. You can interpret this any way you like! They want to celebrate the many ways teachers, music leaders and young people have adapted, innovated, reimagined, reconfigured and rearranged how they make music together.

There are three ways you can get involved in the Festival:

  • National Festival Video Wall, including new MFY Music Mentoring scheme. Open for submissions NOW until Monday 24th May, 5pm (see below)

  • Online music projects linked to the festival in July. More information coming in May

  • In Person – attend our live two-day event in Birmingham on 9th and 10th July

For further information and to register your interest to submit a video, visit the MFY website.
