Join us in the Sheffield 10k run and help raise funds for our Musical Stars programme

At the Music Hub Gala Concert this year we announced the launch of our Musical Stars programme. Music can have so many barriers; expectation, support, finances, background, culture are to name but a few. With this scheme we aim to stop those barriers from getting in the way of children for whom music is their love and their passion so they never look back and wonder ‘what if’? To give these children a leg-up into their musical lives, takes extra time, skill and money so this year we have a fundraising target of £20,000 to support those children and families!

Some of the Music Hub staff are running the Sheffield 10k this year PLAYING SAMBA! It is set to be an amazing day with lots of drumming madness and some aching legs – even the boss is doing it! We would like as many people as possible to join and run with us. Just to be aware that anyone wanting to take part must be over 15 years old and would be responsible for themselves on the run.

All donations from the run will go to the Musical Stars Scheme - we all know that the children in Sheffield are incredible, our teachers see it every day, so please, let’s help raise money so nothing gets in the way of their musical journey.

If you would like to sign up to run with us on Sunday 24th September or if you would like further information then please email Laura Lister.

If you can’t run yourself but would like to support the scheme you can donate directly to the Just Giving Page or you can text MHUB17 £5 to 70070 (you can change the amount e.g. £1/£2/£10).

Many thanks in advance for your support and we look forward to seeing you in September with your running shorts on!
