Sheffield Music Hub and Rotherham Music are delighted to be working together as part of the six Hubs in the North of England pioneering a vision for girls in jazz. This one day jazz camp for girls is inspired by the Jazz Danmark/Copenhagen Jazz Festival.

The ethos of the day is to have a deep learning experience without the pressure of performing. The tutors will be encouraging participants to improvise, be inspired by contemporary female Jazzers, link up with *Issie Barratt’s female jazz playlist on Spotify and hear music written by women.

Our vision is that in 5 years’ time, there will be a week-long Jazz Camp for Girls across the North of England.

We are delighted to announce that our tutors for the day are Hannah BradyColette Dutot, Sonia Mellor, Travis Finch and David Burgoyne.
