Hold the Drama's Sheffield Tour 2023

Published on 15/05/2023

Hold the Drama are a collective of 6 classically trained musicians who perform non-verbal shows that empower the imagination to make sense of dramatic, visual and musical cues. They leave space for the audience members - whether they're 7 or 70 - to discuss and articulate the plot in their own words. In the Q&A after the show, they tell us what they saw and recognised from their own experience.

As part of their Sheffield tour in May 2023, they are hosting a free performance of their show Spark, a non-verbal piece of physical theatre which uses classical music to explore themes of rejection, community and communication. Created thanks to Arts Council England and in collaboration with Snape Maltings arts centre, it has been performed to a wide variety of audiences across the country.
