Other instrument lessons (then the ones detailed below) may be delivered in your school by an Accredited Teacher or private provider. Please contact your school direct for full details.

Does your child have previous experience of playing the above selected instrument *

If there is space on your chosen instrument then we will email you a secure e-payment link for payment, once the form has been submitted.

  • A limited number of bursaries are available. See terms and conditions for details and criteria.
  • The music teacher/school will contact you directly with the day and time of the lesson at the beginning of term.
  • Instrument Hire is available through the Music Service at a cost of £23.00 per term or £55.00 per year. Unfortunately we do not hire drums, guitars and keyboards.  Your child will be issued with an instrument hire form at their first lesson.  There is no need for your child to have an instrument at their first lesson.
  • In certain circumstances there may not be any availability for your chosen instrument and in this instance we will contact you from the office.

Financial bursary

  • Free school meal eligibility, please provide a letter from school (subject to change September 2014)
  • Universal Credit 
  • If not in receipt of Universal Credit (eligibility and information here) one of the following:
    • Income support        
    • Income based Job Seekers Allowance
    • Working tax credit, (where annual income is below £16,190)

Special Needs bursary

You will need to submit a letter from your child’s Headteacher (Sheffield schools only) confirming that your child has special needs and would benefit from a longer lesson to qualify.
