Junior Ambassadors for Music
Junior Ambassadors for Music
Our Junior Ambassadors for Music (JAMs) programme is an initiative that empowers young people from our music groups to represent their peers and contribute to the way our groups run.
JAMs support fellow musicians by helping to organise music, set up rehearsals, welcome new members, raise any concerns to their group leader, and assist Sheffield Music Hub in collecting Youth Voice feedback so we can continue to improve. They play an active role in shaping the experience for everyone involved.
Junior Ambassadors also assist at concerts and special events, which can include helping with compering, organising rehearsal schedules, and guiding young musicians to their green rooms. Their involvement provides valuable experience in leadership and communication while helping us maintain a friendly, inclusive environment for all.
JAMs are easy to spot in their green tops and are an important part of making sure everyone feels welcome.
The Junior Ambassadors for Music programme is part of Sheffield Music Hub’s commitment to giving young people a voice in their musical community.
