Become a Young Producer and Help Run Our Events!
Young Producers is back!
Following the success of our pilot Young Producers Scheme at the Spring Gala Concert 2026, we're delighted to announce that Young Producers is returning with even more opportunities for young people across the region. Building on the fantastic work of our first cohort, we're expanding the programme to give more young musicians and creatives the chance to gain hands-on experience behind the scenes of a variety of major events.
The Young Producers programme was created in response to feedback from young people who told us they wanted to be involved in more than just performing. They wanted to learn about the planning, technical production, communications, stage management and event delivery that make concerts happen. Through the programme, Young Producers work alongside Sheffield Music Hub staff, develop practical skills and play a key role in shaping and delivering events.
During the Spring Gala Concert, nine Young Producers took on roles including communications, lighting, photography, technical production, front of house and stage management. They attended training sessions, gained industry experience and worked as part of the event team on one of Sheffield Music Hub's biggest concerts of the year.
This year, we're looking for a new group of enthusiastic Young Producers to join us. Applications are now open for the Autumn Term Young Producer Opportunities.
We are looking for young people aged 14–18 who are interested in one of the roles listed below.
