Crowdfunding Campaign - Thank you!

We’re very excited by the recent delivery of new samba drums, beaters and bags for our Youth Samba Band.

We’ve been able to buy these as a result of a tremendous Spacehive crowdfunding campaign by the Music Hub’s Friends and Volunteers last year which raised over £6,000 for equipment for the band.  We’re really grateful to Arts Council England and all our other backers who helped us to reach this target.

Over recent months the Youth Samba Band have continued to rehearse regularly via Zoom.  The band and their leader, Dan, can’t wait to begin to use the new drums and recruit some new members to the band.  More information can be found on the 'Sing and Play' section of the Hub’s website.
